building stronger role models
I wanted to start Strong Dads ever since my daughter Izzy was born and the aim of my training and nutrition shifted to making sure I’ll always be the best dad I can. This means a little less focus on just looking good, and more focus on feeling strong, fit, energetic and capable of tackling anything that gets thrown at me.
Now I’d like to help dads in Glasgow and further afield that are in a similar position to myself, as well as those that may be taking their first steps into prioritising their own health and fitness.
The aim? Building strong role models that our children can look up, feel proud of, and know that they’ll always be safe with.
Strong Dads - The Pillars
-
Training
Let me take control over your training so you have one less thing to think about. I’ll create a custom programme based on your goals, experience and available equipment that also makes best use of your limited time.
I want you feeling stronger, fitter and more energetic so that you can make the most of the time you have with your family, win the dads’ race at sports days, and feel more confident when you’re at the pool on holiday.
-
Nutrition
I firmly believe that yo-yo dieting, weekend binging and attempting to always find the new secret diet is not only holding you back, it’s going to set a terrible example for your children.
That’s why I want to shift your mindset to eating MORE not LESS by improving your food quality. I’ll provide a recipe book of quick, delicious recipes that is constantly updated, as well as giving you simple guidelines to follow so you can rapidly start to snowball positive new habits.
-
Community
To me, this is the most important aspect of Strong Dads. Since becoming a father, I’ve realised that the only people who really understand how you’re feeling and the struggles you go through are other dads.
I therefore want to create a community that celebrates each others wins both inside and outside the gym, shares ideas on what’s worked for them as parents, and provides a positive support structure that is often missing for fathers.
